And yes, I have to admit I don't think I've ever met anyone whose parents could afford taking them to Paris in lieu of a birthday party. So you are definitely a very lucky girl...
I didn't know about the strange layout of NOLA houses... I wonder what were the reasons behind it. Also, it would be cool to have a bed so high you needed a ladder to get into it... But then again, I always get up during the night to use the bathroom, so maybe not. LOL.
