Well well, look who dragged me out of the livejournal trenches to create an account here. Maybe it's your user icon there that stirs something within me, who knows. I have a tendency of dragging people into places. Well, that icon of Claudia is one of my fave pics of her. For reference, the full pic is below. I think, when I initially was coming up with a username here, that I wanted to invoke a bit of Claudia, but mostly be more of Charlie McGee from Firestarter, a sort of little-girl heroine as passionate about fire as Louis is, but in a different way. And of course that meant I had to add the "dpdl." How Mary-Sue of me, I know. That was the impetus, though, and I can admit to it. If I could change my name now, I think I would, but it's too late, I feel like I've already built my reputation with this one!
More likely, it's merely my wish to reach out to and be surrounded by a crowd that has brought me here. Do you mind if I push in and comment to others? Forgive me if I don't wait for an answer; I really can't help myself you know. No worries, I'm always happy to meet someone new and like-minded. However, it's not nearly as much of a crowd here normally, I think this is the most # of comments I've ever had on a personal journal post! Most of our interaction is done elsewhere.
As for the little fiction here, I can assure you that Louis is definitely interested in anatomy. No, I mean he is - generally, even outside of those places he can explore intimately. Ooooh, thank you for sharing that. I love that his bookishness extends to the study of the natural world. One can't read only poetry and fiction, after all.
Mojo has been gone for some years now How unfortunate :[
Now that's not to say that I wouldn't feed him and that a later time might find Louis and I giving into impulsive passion on the floor where indeed crackers may play a part for better or worse. Tee hee... of course. No, I really was just inspired by the prompt word and I admit I bent the truth somewhat for the sake of the larger story.
I do have commentary to offer so far as writing style etc., but those would best be shared outside these pages, n'est ce pas? I'm always willing to hear criticism in that regard, just be gentle. You can send me a direct message through the messaging system here, as I'm not on Yahoo messenger or AIM. I am on Skype though. I wouldn't want to put that out publicly, but if you're on Skype, you can send me your skype name.
