Yes, to Louis making good use of Lestat's gift. What do you buy for the man who's got everything? Socks? A book! Lestat is ALL about gifts, as we've discussed before in various places here, and I would think it's increasingly difficult to get gifts fror the man who's got everything. I sort of borrowed that idea from hw_campbell_jnr whose Louis is a book reviewer (under the pseudonym Laurence Roquentin), and he also gives Lestat thoughtfully-chosen books as little gifts, occasionally.
How lovely that Louis doesn't just read it but uses it like a road map. Love the idea of playing with Lestat's body as if it's an instrument. Cello, perhaps? He's too big to be a violin. Yes, Louis seems less practiced than Lestat in the art of Sexy Moves, so I imagine that he would plot out his moves, whereas Lestat, being an actor, is more of an improviser. Yes, I think cello would be accurate! But it's Lestat who takes over, he ends up playing Louis like an instrument at the end there.
I burst out laughing over the goldfish crackers! Yeah the goldfish crackers! Powdered goldfish crackers as a religious experience, lol.
Two men could harm each other badly, two vampires could rip each other apart, so moments of gentleness like this are very touching. Yeah, this is another moment where I have Louis being more caring than sexy, I think in this moment he's a little afraid he accidentally made Lestat break something precious and delicate.
Sooo glad that you didn't try to stick to the DD word limit :) thank u very much, I'm really quite touched by your thoughtful review *tears up* Such high praise will only encourage more in this direction *mischievous grin*
